These are busy times!

The 10-man did a full clear of Dragon Soul last Tuesday in 2 hours and 20 minutes! This was unexpected -- we'd planned to do the first half then extend the raid timer to the next week. But things went so smoothly that we kept pushing and got Deathwing down again in record time. We will aim to do the same thing this Thursday.

Here's the schedule for the upcoming two weeks:

Tuesday, May 8, 7:30 p.m.: LFR Dragon Soul. Come for the valor, or bring an alt that you're gearing up!

Thursday, May 10, 7:30 p.m.: 10-man Dragon Soul.

Tuesday, May 15, 7:30 p.m.: 10-man Dragon Soul.

In other news, Zlinka got 333 crystals on her way to the legendary daggers last week! The next day she crept beneath Karazhan, sneaking through a cavern that was crawling with cultists, and assassinated a black dragon named Nalice. Nalice's blood was used to infuse Zlinka's first pair of daggers, so that she now has the second, more powerful set on her way to the legendaries. She now needs 55/60 more clusters to get the legendary daggers. These fine blades are almost within reach now -- 7 weeks of full clears will do it!

We parachuted onto Deathwing's back and blew up plate after plate until we revealed a fatal weakness. Thrall shot Deathwing from the sky. We fell, clinging to the back of the wounded dragon, into the Maelstrom. The great beast hung, clinging, to outcroppings of rock above the swirling vortex. We stabbed and burned his feet until one by one he let go and his head came crashing to the ground. We fell upon him, upon the great Destroyer who had shattered our world, we fell upon him in a savage frenzy, until the great monster shuddered for one last time and fell back into the twisting maelstrom, dead.

((We will be running the first half of 10-man Dragon Soul next Tuesday, May 1. There will be no raid on Thursday, May 3. We will extend the raid timer and do the second half of Dragon Soul the following Tuesday, May 8.

Oryx and Zlinka are online many evenings after 7:30 p.m. We're currently playing our alts, Ibex (Zlinka's tank/DPS) and Hargrim (Oryx's priest). We're currently finishing up the Twilight Highlands to get Hargrim to 85, then we will be doing 5-mans and will be jumping into the twilight heroics in short order! Join us on your alts and be a newbie again, or come farm valor with your main!))

This week we assaulted Dragon Soul twice in order to get further in on the second night. The strategy worked beautifully: Thursday night Ironsong not only killed Warmaster Blackhorn, but then dropped from the belly of the flying ship onto the back of Deathwing himself, where we proceeded to blow off his armor plates one by one. We uncovered a weakness that Thrall exploited to blow Deathwing out of the sky! It was a thrilling moment. Deathwing now clings to four jutting islands of rock below. We attacked him there, but were not yet able to kill him. We will return soon to finish him off.

Deathwing, Ironsong is coming for you!

Next week Ironsong will host its LFR raid at 7:30 on Tuesday evening for everyone who wants to join us. There will be no 10-man raid next week due to the absences of several members.

The following week we will once again assault Dragon Soul 10-man over the course of two nights, Tuesday April 24 and Thursday April 26, at 7:30.

Oryx and Zlinka will be on vacation next week, from April 14 to 22, but we will return refreshed and ready to join the assault once again!

Mok'ra, Tribe!

Tuesday's LFR run went very well, with very little wait time as we had to healers in our group -- thank you! We will NOT be running the LFR dungeon next week, see below.

Thursday's 10-man Dragon Soul was also a success. We defeated Ultraxion before our members had to disperse for the night.

At this point we are getting to the new raid content at the very end of our available time on Thursday, so next week we are adding a SECOND night to our 10-man raid: Tuesday at 7:30, in the old LFR slot. We will go as far as we can on Tuesday and will pick up again on Thursday in order to dig deeper into new content.

Oryx and I are frequently online on other evenings after 7:30 p.m. on our mains or our alts (Hargrim/Cabochon and Ibex) running the Twilight Heroics. If you are interested, come join us!

The LFR Dragon Soul run went well on Tuesday -- it was a nice smooth run with a good group of people. And with healers in our group our queue times were very quick. Many thanks to those who brought healers this week! We run the LFR every Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Please join us!

The 10-man Dragon Soul run on Thursday got off to a bumpy start due to unexpected roster issues, but finished in a blaze of glory as we killed Warmaster Blackhorn on his airship for the first time! It was an epic battle with Ryosaki outdoing himself as the sole healer for the last part of the fight. Ryo, you are amazing.

Many thanks go out to Shantow who transformed into a sturdy bear for us when we needed one, even against the daunting fight with Ultraxion and his many (many) drakes. Shantow did a marvelous job and we are grateful to have such a courageous bear to call on in times of need. Thank you, Shantow!
