Mok'ra, Tribe!

You have probably noticed that Sreng has been offline for three months now. In discussion with the other officers, Oryx and I have stepped forward to lead the guild.

As guild leaders, Oryx and I are continuing to do what we have been doing for the past 9 months: leading raids once or twice a week, and posting a newsletter to the forum. For Mists, we will additionally run an LFR raid and 5-man-heroics nights for as long as they are useful to the guild.

We are also dealing with administrative issues like returning stolen items to the guild bank and increasing the daily repair budget, and when Mists hits we will keep the guild bank stocked with enchanting and feast supplies, and so forth. We will also examine our ranking system and discuss updating it with our fellow officers.

We also want to re-energize recruitment to get some new members into the guild. If you have good candidates for guild membership, please refer them to an officer so we can get the ball rolling on recruitment.

When and if Sreng returns as an active player, we will happily return the guild to him should he desire it. But we strongly believe that Ironsong will benefit from active leadership, so we are stepping forward into that role during Sreng's absence, for as long as that absence may be.

Mok'ra, tribe!

We had a successful week beginning with a Nefarian kill, led by Melikar, on Tuesday. That was very satisfying, and it was good to get some new people through that kill. It's a good fight.

On Thursday we assaulted 10-man Dragon Soul, this time killing Heroic Morchok for the first time! It was a great fight ending up with half the raid dashing across the ice to finish off Morchok's twin.

This week, on Thursday July 26 at 7:30, we will assault Heroic Dragon Soul again, starting with Morchok and then attempting Heroic Zon'ozz!

Under Melikar's leadership we assaulted BWD on Tuesday evening and got all the way to Nefarian before running out of time! Melikar will lead the attack on Nefarian himself on Tuesday, July 17 at 7:30. Join us!

Thursday we attempted heroic Morchok and got in several good attempts before pushing through the rest of Dragon Soul, ending up with a terrific battle against Deathwing in which we all fell in battle except for Lailya, who managed to solo Deathwing to his death in the face of rampaging elemental terrors! Long live dragonslayer Lailya!

Next week Oryx and I will be on vacation, so the next scheduled Dragon Soul Raid will be Thursday, July 19 at 7:30 when we will attempt heroic Morchok again!

Mok'ra, Tribe!

We had a highly successful run through Dragon Soul yesterday evening, earning achievements, seeing items drop that had never dropped before, and equipping some of our new members!

Zlinka collected the last elementium gem cluster that Wrathion wanted, then went on to bring him Deathwing's steaming, corrupted jawbone. With this, a smoldering piece of his dead father, Wrathion imbued Zlinka's daggers with fabulous power. Zlinka is now the proud wielder of the Fangs of the Father, legendary daggers.

I want to thank everyone who helped Zlinka to earn these daggers. She could never have done this alone. It took dedicated guildmates and raidmates running in the raid every week to collect all the crystals necessary to build these weapons, truly a group effort. It's something Ironsong can be very proud of -- getting a legendary weapon when it is still end-game! Thank you, everyone!

For upcoming events, next week Melikar is running a BWD raid to kill Nefarian and get some achievements on Tuesday, July 3, at 7:30 -- please join us!

On Thursday, July 5, at 7:30 we will assault 10-man Dragon Soul again, but this time we plan to start heroic Dragon Soul in earnest! Be ready!

Mok'ra, Tribe!

We had a busy week with classic raiding on Tuesday -- we killed Malygos and got multiple achievements, then killed all the drakes on Sartherion 10 for the achievement there, too, then Onyxia for several more achievements!

On Thursday we assaulted Dragon Soul 10 with good success, finishing the Taste the Rainbow achievement and showing some new members the ropes!

We will return to Dragon Soul on TUESDAY of next week, June 26, at 7:30, due to Oryx and Zlinka's absence on Thursday. It will be a big day for Zlinka, because if all goes well June 26 is the day she will get her legendary daggers!

The following Tuesday, July 3, at 7:30 Melikar will be running a BWD run to kill Nefarian and get some achievements. Please join us!

We will raid Dragon Soul 10 on Thursday, July 5, at 7:30.
