  Moots!
Posted by: Sreng - 12-03-2011, 04:54 AM - Forum: News & Announcements - No Replies

Lok'tar Ogar, Ironsong!

As was the tradition of old, so shall it be again. I invite you to join me for the weekly Ironsong Tribal Moot, this and every Thursday, at six bells in the evening. Despite our strained history, Warchief Hellscream has extended his hospitality. We will meet in his hall to discuss tribal business and enjoy each other's company. I specifically want to hear your plans for drawing in new members and otherwise bolstering our numbers. Even if you have no ideas, come along anyway. We need you all to help resurrect this noble tradition!

Strength and Honor,

Warlord Sreng'jin Skullclaimer

*A slab of grey slate hangs from a sturdy leather strap beneath a stout nail in the Ironsong Totem. The following words are etched into the stone in a firm, strong hand:*

Mok'ra, Tribe!

New battles lie ahead of us! Five by five, we are venturing into the timestream to defeat the corrupted shadows of our great leaders. We will pull the powerful weapons and armor from their smoking bodies to strengthen ourselves for the even greater battles ahead. Deathwing and his minions await us! ((We're online most evenings from about 7:30 server time, running 5-mans, and we'd love for you to join us.))

On Monday, the evening before the great battles began, we sharpened our weapons in the Trial of the Crusader, defeating all who challenged us, and finally slaughtered Anubarak in the great hidden cavern beneath our feet. We killed Sartherion in his fiery lair and won a drake for Riyosaki to ride, then ventured into Icecrown Citadel to start carving our way toward the skeletal dragons we all plan to win in the near future.

New peons, fill out your applications that you may be considered for full membership when your month of trial has passed.

There are great days ahead!

*A husk of nerubian chitin, apparently from the wing-casing of a giant beetle, hangs tacked from a small throwing knife. The following words are written in an iridescent green ink:*

Mok'ra, Tribe!

I'd like to welcome our newest peon, Aeln, to the guild. May you bring us honor! Please fill out an application on the totem so you may be considered for full membership when your month of trial has passed.

We ventured into the heat and soot of Firelands again on Friday and made significant progress against Rhyolith ((we got him to 11% -- our best yet!)). The giant is greatly wounded and I look forward to our next encounter, when we will bring him down.

We then adventured into the depths of Naxxramas and fought our way to Kel'Thuzad, killing its denizens in strange and difficult ways for the pure glory of it. Four horsemen died simultaneously to our blades and our magic; we slaughtered countless abominations; we brought down an icy dragon with no protection from frost; we swept through the cobwebs of the spider wing with immense speed, and we did it all with such a small and valiant group that our small band itself was an achievement. We retired covered in cobwebs, green goo, and glory. ((Congratulations on the achievement run in Naxxramas! We missed a few so we'll definitely be heading back.))

We then plunged into the fiery cavern of Sartherion to capture a drake which Shaedrith won for his own. Congratulations on your new mount, Shaedrith, and may he carry you reliably and well.

This week is Pilgrim's Bounty so we will rest from our labors on Friday, November 25, but we look forward to further adventures in Northrend and Outland next Monday. As always, if you wish to join us on our adventures, please contact Oryx.

We have heard that new dungeons, both large and small, will open for us within the next week or so. We will venture into the small dungeons right away to gather strength so that we may tackle Dragon Soul as soon as possible!

Deathwing -- you will pay for the devastation you have wrought on our lands, for all the deaths and misery you have caused. Your days are numbered. Ironsong is coming for you!

There are great days ahead!

*A blue rectangle of paper, made from Frostweave processed with bark fibers, hangs from a silver dagger. Beneath the hilt the following words are written in vibrant red ink:*

Mok'ra, Tribe!

I welcome our latest new peon, Eveleyn, to the guild. May you bring honor to Ironsong and to the Horde! New peons, if you have not done so please sign our Code of Conduct and fill out an application here on the totem so you may be considered for full membership when your month of trial has passed.

Ironsong ventured into Ulduar with great success, defeating Yogg-Saron without going insane. We returned from his prison covered in glory and little bits of brain. ((The Ulduar achievement run was enormously successful, with some members earning upwards of thirty achievements!))

We returned to Sartherion and killed him before any of his drakes could drop down on us, and we defeated Halion the Twilight Destroyer in both dimensions.

We look forward to venturing into Firelands on Friday, and on further expeditions into the Outlands and Northrend!

*A strip of shiny, fibrous paper made from pounded banana leaves hangs from a finely-crafted throwing knife. Beneath the hilt the following words are written in a bold, forward-leaning hand:*

Mok'ra, Tribe!

I welcome our latest new peons to the guild: Dreadhart/Wrequiem, Lyvi, Zebzi, Tenebrae, Reperkussion, and Ginfizzle. May you bring honor to Ironsong and to the Horde! New peons, if you have not done so please sign our Code of Conduct and fill out an application here on the totem so you may be considered for full membership when your month of trial has passed.

Ironsong has pushed its way deeper into the scorching world of Firelands. We took on the behemoth, Rhyolith, and made excellent progress against him, learning how to wound his ankles to drive him over smoking volcanoes, and how to control and destroy the minions he summoned to his aid. He was battered and bruised by the time we left him. We will return this Friday at 7:30 to finish him off.

Ironsong has plunged to the other temperature extreme: the depths of Icecrown Citadel, where we challenged the Lich King in all his frozen glory and brought him down, earning the right to bear the title of Bane of the Fallen King! We will return to Icecrown Citadel again in the near future so that we may all ride on the bony backs of skeletal dragons ((ICC achievements))! If you wish to win one of these winged skeletal dragons for yourself, speak to Oryx or myself for scheduling.

On Wednesdays at 7:30, Shaedrith has been leading expeditions to the raid dungeons of the Outlands and Ahn'Qiraj. Contact him if you are interested or have a particular target you want to attack!
