I am so so sorry that you have had to let go of your sweet cat. Pets become so important to us; I am sure you will miss them very much. I am familiar with how difficult it is to lose a special pet. But your cat was very lucky to have lived a very long time with you, and I'm certain they were well cared for and loved.
Take care of yourself and your Mom, it will be alright.
