<A mechanical bird flies into the hall, drops a letter on the table. The bird continues to fly in a straight line, and flies right into the wall, where its metal beak becomes stuck. It continues to flap its wings.>

<The note on the table is written in a familiar, slightly messy, handwriting.>

Dear Ironsong Tribe-

Thank you for your hospitality from my last visit. I am writing this in haste, for the group that suspected me of treachery is hot on my tail. I hope the bird makes it to you – I had a friend cast a homing spell on it with your location, so I am crossing my fingers…while I still have them.

There was a big meeting at Stormwind regarding the earthquakes. Magni Bronzebeard is having his brother, Brann, ship him some ancient tablets he found in Ulduar that could be linked to the earthquakes. Magni believes the earthquakes are both natural and not natural at the same time.

Cultists are preaching the end of times and causing mass panic.
The gnomes are moving out of Ironforge and back to Gnomeregan.
Jaina Proudmore mentioned the appearance of hostile elementals showing up in random locations.
And there was a mention of Highbourne coming out of Shen'dralar.

I believe my...inaction…in the fight against Undercity have raised suspicions of my “loyalty” too high. I would explain if I could, but now I’ve got to run.

-Squig V.
Mula entered the hall and sat down, carrying a cup of fresh hot chocolate from the local inn. She breathed out a sigh of relief, glad that she could take a moment to relax. The hall was empty, yet again.

Then she noticed the strange mechanical sound. Setting the cup down, she followed the noise to the far end of the hall. She stared, curiously at the metal bird stuck in the wall. The body was starting to smoke. She pulled out her blacksmithing hammer, and with a well-practiced swing, flattened the bird against the wall. She smiled and said (to no one in particular), "Took care of that little bugger."

She walked back to her hot chocolate and sat back down. She watched as the hot liquid rippled in the mug, from yet another earthquake.
