Also, I know you visit the forums, so never ever /ever/ click a link on there unless you know the person posting it, and even then, look close at the URL. My suggestion would be getting a few addons for Firefox (and if you are using Internet explorer...get something else). I use Adblock and NoScript myself. this lets me allow which sites will run certain things.

No, this is only on your computer.

See, this only shows my lack of computer savvy. As far as I can tell, remote access isn't on, but I'm not 100% sure exactly where to check. "Help" has been, unsurprisingly, no help.

So, I downloaded SpyBot Search & Destroy, and found stuff Ad-Aware didn't, but I don't think any of them were the culprit. Going to update to AVG 8.0, I think, and run another scan.

So far, it seems as though the cukprit has been found and dealt with, though buggered if I know which file it was. I've been on for several hours at a time, and not been kicked off to the desktop. I was happy to get an e-mail from a GM, informing me my items would be restored.

I started with Lhuur, and Hidea briefly reinstated me to Grunt so I could deposit items in the bank; she did take extensive measures to verify it was me. With the rest of my characters, I spoke to Kosath, and he offered to be the middleman, and I also asked him to re-demote Lhuur for about a week. All of my toons are on "probation," so to speak, as a safety measure in case the hacker is biding his/her time.

I know some would say I don't owe the Tribe an apology, but I feel I do. By being lazy and not updating my Flash version, I very likely left myself, and the Tribe, open to this attack/theft. I knew better and didn't do what I should have done. So, I hope you will all accept my heartfelt apology for being the conduit for this attack.
